This indenture made the thirteenth day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Nine between Abraham Miller and his wife Sarah Miller of Lincoln County and State of Kentucky of the one part and John Webster Gilbert of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Abraham Miller and his wife Sarah Miller for the consideration of the Sum of Seven Hundred and fifty pounds to them in hand paid the receipt Whereof is hereby Acknowledged hath granted, bargained and sold and by there presents doth hereby grant bargain sell ___________ _____________ release and confure unto him the said John Webster Gilbert a certain piece of prcel of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid and on the waters of the Knob Lick Creek and Hanging Fork & Containing four Hundred and fifty acres formerly owned by Abraham Miller Senr. and whereon Maj. James Davis formerly lived and bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning at a Buckeye ........
